THE EDITORS
MARTHA AMORE lives in Alaska with her family and teaches writing at the University of Alaska Anchorage. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in fiction and an Interdisciplinary Studies Ph.D. in creative writing. Her short stories have been published in a number of journals and magazines and anthologized in Weathered Edge: Three Alaskan Novellas. In 2015, she won a Rasmuson Individual Artist Award to complete her collection, In the Quiet Season and Other Stories, which was published in 2018 by the University of Alaska Press. She is currently hard at work on a new book.
LUCIAN CHILDS is a fiction writer and long-time Alaskan now living in Toronto, Ontario. In 2013, he was a recipient of a Rasmuson Foundation Individual Artist Award. He has been an artist in residence at Byrdcliffe Art Colony and at Artscape Gibraltar Point and was a Peter Taylor Fellow at the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop. Lucian’s debut work, Dreaming Home (2023), received a positive critical response when it was published by Biblioasis, a Canadian house known for its catalogue of works of the highest literary caliber. His stories and book reviews have appeared in the literary journals Grain, The Puritan, Sanskrit, Plenitude and Prairie Fire, among others.
